they both agreed to run it three times….. lowers the risk coz the pot was so big Jamie won 2/3 times (should have been other way round)
why you want to risk $750K all on 1 card? NO! You run it 3 times to make it more fair for both players. Sometimes the guy with the dominating hand will ask to just take the current pot and end the hand like Guy Laliberte. What everyone here runs the river once? LOL. Bunch of greedy bastards!
jk
in order to decrease the luck factor the players sometimes agree to “run it twice” or even three times…that means, if they run it twice, the pot is split and there are two river cards…that doesn´t mean that there are six community cards but two hole boards! when they run it three times, the pot is split three ways…jamie won two thirds of the pot and patrick one third…they actually do it because there is so mutch money at stake that a suckout hurts pretty badly, so the make this deal
lol look at 2:55 - at that chick’s face ! hahahahaha

i am wondering the same thing….. i guess its some kind of deal they made but I’m not sure how it works….. anybody know?
2:52
Jamie: “I’m all in”
Patrik: “I call”
Jamie: Fuck, I got a set, u got ace jack huh?
lol donkaments!
i don’t understand why is there three times a rivercard???
is antonius supposed to fold the flop every time he misses with high cards to any small continuation bets?
not a donk call to float the flop even oop, if every time patrik called he had something, he would be pretty easy to read and never get paid
but whatever, you youtube guys know more than him obviously

I disagree with a lot of the comments here. For one, I feel Patrik Antonius’ call was completely standard. His implied odds from Gold gave him a great reason to call, since Jamie would probably have a hard time laying down Aces or Kings (I know I would.) So there was nothing wrong with the call. There was also nothing wrong with the bet. Half the pot gives 3 to 1 on a card, but that’s not good enough for a straight draw or a flush draw. I WANT someone to call me with a gut draw if I bet half.
That’s actually exactly what Implied odds do. Shut the fuck up.
Calling 15k for gutshot straight is nowhere near loose call. It’s a very good call if it’s against Jamie Gold who will keep betting out and pay you everything he has when you hit it. Antonius can simply fold if he cant hit it on a turn and he will still have very strong, healthy chipstack. Only idiots and donks fold when they’re getting every good odds to call.
If you got guts, play me live 5/10 at Hawaiian Gardens, which I will be going there tomorrow. During the flop, bet wasn’t even pot size. There’s 30k in the pot and bet was only 15k. And how much do they have behind their chipstack? Over 350k. 15k of 350k is less than 5% of their chipstack. It’s more than enough for a call. Bcz if he hits, it becomes absolute nuts during the turn. If you honestly think Antonius shouldn’t have called, then you’re a donk yourself who folds every hand.
I would love to play poker against you. I love people who overuse “implied odds” in their decision making. Implied odds do not make a bad call a good one.
I disagree, The pot wasn’t that big and we also have to bear in mind that this is a TV cash game. Noone like to be bluffed on the TV and he knew if he would have floped anything good Jamie would have been pot commited. on the other hand Jamie played like a donk when he only bet 15 000 after the flop.
Donk? Antonius was getting the right price to call. pot was only 60k during the flop and then during turn, pot became 745k. There’s a huge difference. Antonius called because he was getting right implied odds since he knows Jamie will bet out like an idiot and become unlimited atm machine. Antonius only had to call 15k to hit his gutshot straight to win jamie’s whole chipstack which was over 300k.
i like how nobody is bashing Antonius here for playing like a complete fucking donk and getting lucky. Jamie Gold basically told the entire table he had kings or queens before he even put a chip in the pot, and this fucking donk is calling him down with AJ on a gutshot. Terrible play. Yes, I know Antonius is much better than Gold, but NOT on this hand. No sir.
Jamie Gold is a dickhead.

players just have deals, so they have a chance to split the pot, if u deal it 2 times u have a good chance of splitting with 50% 50% hands. in this instance they did it three times giving 33% 3 times to win, this minimises suck outs but with less money - it’s just a deal that hs players do.
what a luckbox
