I don’t think Harman is so tight. I just think she did a couple of bad plays, like moving al in with a set when it was clear Farha had top pair. She could have got a lot of money from that hand.

It’s really no use trying to bluff if your opponents are playing like maniaks. Take Sammy farha for example in the first season, he pretty much called with everything.
But anyway, watch episode 7 of the second season and look at harman’s play.
She plays loose and also has succesfull bluffs.

the best player in High stakes poker must be Daniel Negreanu.. he changes how he playes all the time, not afraid of gambling and he has a great pokerface… the only thing is that he`s got alot of bad luck in this season.. ALOT…
right, i know she has to be a good player to be there, but Ive watched most of these episodes, and i haven’t seen her take any chances at all. a bluff every little while is good, cause you mix up your game. she just plays way too tight all the time, and its easy to spot when she has a great hand.
Playing tight or even super tight isn’t necessarily bad play.
It all depends on your opponents.
And she wouldn’t be where she is now, if she was a horrible player like you say she is.
haha words of an all-time loser. There’s nothing wrong with playing tight u stupid. You rather play tight, safe and walk away as a winner than trying relentlessly to break even again from previous loss. As much as I love Daniel, he’s clearly played so bad in this first season

I much prefer the chemistry/commentary from the hosts in the earlier seasons (especially Season 1). I felt that HSP Season 5 commentary was lazy and uninspired.
AJ and Gabe are great together. Norman and Lon are too, but not for this kind of game. They’re good at yelling “IT’S A FIVE OF CLUBS!” on the river when they show a heads-up race for the millionth time… this cashgame is very different from that kind of “spectacular” poker.
