unfortunately you are, there is no end to one’s knowledge of poker. Considering new theories and 3 betting ranges are brought forth so often, not only do you have to change up your play but you have to adjust your strategy to common and other’s consistency.
mxm is right about what it takes in order to play poker.But he makes a fundamental mistake.These people are not the best because they know how to play but because they can consistenly make money out of it.. And that’s pretty damn hard!

Dude I don’t care what your theories are because I understand this game as well as every one of those players at that table. You’re so fucking naive and give those guys too much credit. To learn to play poker at their level takes a few years sure but once you reach that stage, you cant improve, it just falls down to the cards and some cheap acting.

Yea friendo poker requires a basic understanding of psychology, a decent understanding of money management, pot odds, some high school mathematics and some practice at shuffling chips…spend your whole life playing poker and see if you can perfect the game…no you cant because in order to perfect something you have to be confident that there is no way you can lose but you cant do that with poker. Its a hobby that has a big LUCK factor involved.

his small ball style of poker against noobs in donkaments works great. he can control the pot size and play big pots with big hands. that leads to success in WSOP events. at a high stakes cash game however he just gets run over by good players who force him to play big pots, almost always OOP, to continue in the hand. yet he persists with limp calling with junk like Q4 suited. it’s not like he has such a big post flop edge that he can afford to make those bad pre flops calls either. DUCY?
